The Bugatti 16 C Galibier was a concept car unveiled by Bugatti at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. The name "Galibier" refers to a mountain pass in the French Alps, in keeping with Bugatti's tradition of naming cars after famous mountain passes.
The 16 C Galibier was designed as a luxury 4-door sedan that would have served as a successor to the Bugatti Veyron. It featured a front-mounted 8.0-liter W16 engine with two-stage supercharging that produced around 1,000 horsepower. The car was also meant to be technologically advanced, with features such as carbon ceramic brakes, LED headlights, and an all-wheel-drive system.
Despite the initial excitement and anticipation surrounding the Bugatti 16 C Galibier, the car never made it to production. Bugatti ultimately decided to focus on building the Chiron as its flagship model instead.
